Life's ointment! We just want to say: Forget all your other creams and containers, you will never want to go back. Well, that may sound a bit boastful. But, according to us, this is the world's best skin ointment. Not just for you, but also for the environment and the animals. First of all, every single ingredient in this magic container is natural. We do not test on animals (Yes, we know, some companies still do this. That is so sick!) and the ointment is non-GMO.
We only use those tried and true ingredients that people around the world have known for thousands of years, because quite frankly, some things were actually better in the past. Look put your nose and fingers into the container and enjoy an ointment that moisturizes with the help of Cupuaçu butter; a kind of creamy superhero in the form of plant butter from the Amazon, rich in monounsaturated Omega 9. The butter also contains β-Sitosterol (Beta-sitosterol), a phytosterol that acts as an anti-inflammatory at the cellular level. Cold-pressed Cupuaçu butter works on the skin by preventing the skin from releasing moisture. To get some extra “oomph” in the ointment, we have added Shea butter, apricot kernel oil, beeswax and vitamin E. More about that below.
Our skin ointment contains a full 500 mg of cannabinoids per container and smells lovely because of the added essential oils of mandarin and ginger. Also, we have added a little chamomile extract that contains the essential substances of chamomile with bisabolol and matricin, for a proven calming and repairing effect on the skin. So, you can use our ointment for both massage and hydration for the whole body. Why not introduce our ointment into the bedroom? It works very well there too, trust us. Could it get any better? Nope.
For those of you who would like to read more about the contents of our ointment and want to shine a little extra as an ointment expert around the coffee machine, or impress your neighbor, just scroll down:
Cupuaçu is a super-plant butter rich in monounsaturated Omega 9 and saturated stearic acid. The butter also contains β-Sitosterol (‘-sitosterol), a phytosterol that acts as an anti-inflammatory at the cellular level and improves the skin's barrier function. Cold-pressed Cupuaçu butter works for skin care by preventing the skin from releasing moisture. Cupuaçu butter has a great ability to hold water and is several times higher than lanolin (wool fat), therefore Cupuaçu butter is an excellent vegan alternative to lanolin. The Cupuaçu tree, which is related to the cocoa tree, grows wild in the Amazon rain forest. The fruit has long been an important source of nutrition for the Amazon natives. The Cupuaçu butter that we use for our hemp cream is made from fresh Cupuaçu kernels locally, near the growing site. The kernels are separated from the pulp, and then fermented for 8 days, washed, dried and roasted. Finally, the kernels are pressed, and the butter is filtered. The butter has a characteristic acidulous and fruity chocolate scent.
Shea Butter Paradoxa:
“Paradoxa” is a species of the Shea tree that grows wild in western and central Africa. This kind of Shea butter contains larger amounts of saturated fatty acids and is therefore firmer in consistency than the East African Shea butter “Nilotica”. Paradoxa also has a very large proportion of active plant substances that give the butter a variety of skin care properties, among other things it binds moisture to the skin. The production of our Shea butter follows the criteria of the Fairtrade Foundation for Social Sustainability and Biodiversity. Of course, it is also certified organic according to the Soil Association.
Apricot Kernel Oil:
Organic and cold-pressed apricot kernel oil that contains abundant amounts of Omega 9 and Omega 6 fatty acids.
Our beeswax is natural and undergoes only a fully certified organic and traditional purification process which removes any impurities. Through this natural extraction process, the beeswax has retained all its wonderful Phyto-substances. Beeswax from non-organic hives has been shown to accumulate pesticide residues used to repel the varroa moths that attack the bees. Our beeswax is produced in Africa by beekeepers who only produce organic beeswax, completely non-toxic. Our producer groups consist of thousands of beekeepers who produce large amounts of organic beeswax. Importing from these producers benefits their families, society, our planet and our customers!
Natural Vitamin E is an antioxidant that also acts as a moisturizer and helps the skin cells resist damage by free radicals and sunlight. Its antioxidant properties also mean that the shelf life of the product it is included in increases. There are various ingredients, so-called tocopherols, in what we call vitamin E. This natural vitamin E is a blend of all four kinds of tocopherols (alpha, ‘, gamma and delta), which means that it has both skin care properties and extends the durability of our hemp cream. The vitamin E is derived from organically grown, non-GMO soy.
When producing our products, the hemp plant's finest parts are always used, such as the flowers and the smaller leaves. In addition to a high concentration of cannabinoids, our extract also has more cannabinoids and important terpenes that are naturally found in hemp. The result is then a so-called “full spectrum”. But our process does not end here, because we continue to separate all existing THC, THCA and THCV from the extract. We are alone in Europe in this unique process. But hello, what then happens to the so-called “full spectrum” you might ask yourself. Well, we get a “wide spectrum” of cannabinoids instead. In other words, all cannabinoids and terpenes that are naturally found in hemp are found in our extract, but with no THC. Pretty fantastic, right?
Let’s move on to “the entourage effect”. This is a very important part of all our hemp products. Simply explained, various cannabinoids, such as CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, CBDA, CBGA work together. Not only with each other but also with the terpenes. That is why we never use CBD isolates as a single molecule (because really, it’s no good). Instead, there is always a wide spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes in our products. More bang for the buck!
In addition to the above, all our hemp products, both oil-based and water-soluble, are recovered and produced with a focus on bioavailability and, more than many other products on the market, are much easier for the body to absorb. Again, more bang for the buck.
Last but not least! Our hemp products are produced exclusively from hemp that is planted, managed and harvested using responsible cultivation practices in Colorado, USA. Far from big cities, highways and pollution. It means an end product that is organic, 100% natural and not genetically modified (non-GMO).
